Québec City’s IKEA is in Sainte-Foy, on Avenue Blaise-Pascal just off Autoroute 40, the Autoroute Charest. That puts it near the bridges, which helps if you’re coming over from Lévis, and within easy reach of Cap-Rouge and Sillery. From Charlesbourg or Beauport it’s a longer cross-town drive. IKEA notes that TramCité construction nearby may change the access routes for a while, so check before you set off.
The store is where you’d plan the layout and buy SEKTION boxes, hinges and inner drawers. The doors, drawer fronts and panels don’t have to come from the same place. Custom fronts from an independent maker can give a bungalow in Sainte-Foy or a loft condo in Saint-Roch a kitchen that looks made for the room.
Business here happens in French. Under Quebec’s Charter of the French Language, customers can expect to be served in French, so makers and refacers working in the region quote in French, and many also work in English.
If your kitchen is already IKEA, IKEA kitchen refacing is the lighter option: the cabinets stay put and only the faces change. Fronts lets you send your plan once and compare local refacers who measure and install with makers who ship flat-packed custom doors for IKEA kitchens.
IKEA Quebec is at 3400 Avenue Blaise-Pascal in Sainte-Foy, just off Autoroute 40. IKEA’s store page warns that TramCité construction nearby may cause temporary detours, including at the parking entrance. For a whole kitchen, it’s often simpler to order online or with a planner and book delivery than to load cabinets into the car.
If you want them to be. Businesses in Quebec must be able to serve and answer customers in French under the Charter of the French Language. When you send your IKEA plan, mention whether you’d prefer French or English, and ask for drawings, quotes and invoices in that language.
Yes. Doors and drawer fronts hang on the cabinets’ hinges and runners, so changing them doesn’t disturb the countertop, sink or plumbing. The exception is a cover panel or filler that tucks under the counter’s edge; it may need trimming to fit. A refacer who measures on site will flag that before anything is ordered.
