Order: IKEA work confirmed first, then the most local, then by name. Nobody can pay to move up this list.
Oklahoma’s first IKEA store opened in Tulsa in fall 2026: a small-format store at Tulsa Hills, in south Tulsa, which IKEA’s store list marked as now open when we checked. You can book a kitchen planning appointment there, but it has no full warehouse, so larger items are ordered for home delivery or store pick-up. Oklahoma City has an IKEA pick-up point, run by CRST/NAL, rather than a store.
From Oklahoma City, Norman or Lawton, the big IKEA stores in Dallas–Fort Worth are another option, a few hours south on I-35. The Panhandle, Enid and southeastern Oklahoma are farther from everything, and that is where flat-packed fronts shipped to your home make the most sense.
There are two usual routes to custom doors for IKEA cabinets in Oklahoma. A local refacer handles IKEA kitchen refacing from measuring to installation; or a specialty maker builds doors, drawer fronts and panels to your IKEA plan and ships them for you or a carpenter to hang. Whichever you pick, ask how solid wood is dried and finished, since Oklahoma homes swing between humid summers and drier, heated winters.
IKEA announced the Tulsa store in February 2026 as its first in Oklahoma, and its store list marked it as now open when we checked in November 2026. It’s a small-format store at 7309 South Olympia Avenue with kitchen planning appointments; anything not stocked there can be ordered for delivery or store pick-up. Check IKEA’s Tulsa page for current hours.
Not necessarily. You can plan an IKEA kitchen online, have the cabinets delivered or collect them at the Oklahoma City pick-up point, and arrange custom fronts separately. Some people still make the trip to Tulsa or Dallas–Fort Worth to see finishes in person. Upload the finished plan to Fronts and compare quotes from installers and from makers who ship.
