Wisconsin has one IKEA store, in Oak Creek, south of Milwaukee. IKEA also lists pick-up points at two University Book Store locations in Madison and a mobile collection point in Appleton. In May 2026 IKEA announced a smaller store for Madison, at Prairie Towne Center on Junction Road, planned for fall 2026; when we checked in November it wasn’t yet on IKEA’s store list, so confirm before you go.

Green Bay, the Fox Valley, Wausau and Eau Claire are a long way from Oak Creek, and for La Crosse, Hudson or Superior the Twin Cities stores in Minnesota may be closer. That’s where shipped fronts help: plan online, have the cabinets delivered, and order custom doors for IKEA cabinets made to the same plan.

Cold winters dry out heated Wisconsin homes, then summer brings the humidity back, so solid wood moves with the seasons. Ask makers how they allow for that before you commit to solid wood for IKEA kitchen refacing. And if a contractor’s remodel needs a building permit, the state requires them to hold Dwelling Contractor certification.

Where can I pick up an IKEA order in northeast Wisconsin?

IKEA lists a mobile collection point at a Prime Storage site in Appleton, which serves the Fox Valley and is a reasonable drive from Green Bay and Oshkosh. Check pick-up availability for your order at checkout. Custom fronts come separately from the maker, so arrange delivery to your home for the same week if you can.
