Colorado’s IKEA store is in Centennial, in the south Denver metro. IKEA lists a plan and order point with pick-up in Colorado Springs and a pick-up point in Denver, and it announced a Fort Collins store for 2026 that wasn’t on its store list yet when we checked. Denver has its own page.

Beyond the Front Range, distances and mountain passes take over. From Grand Junction, Durango, Steamboat Springs or the San Luis Valley, Centennial is a long trip, and winter storms can close I-70 and other routes. Ordering IKEA cabinets online and custom doors from a maker who ships flat-packed panels saves most of that driving.

Colorado’s dry air deserves attention when choosing materials. Solid-wood doors made in a more humid climate can shrink once they settle into a heated Colorado home. Ask makers how they dry and finish their wood, and whether they’ve shipped to dry climates before. Painted MDF and laminate move less, if you’d rather not worry about it.

Questions about custom IKEA doors and fronts in Colorado

I live on the Western Slope. How do custom doors get to me?

By parcel carrier or freight truck, usually over I-70 or another mountain route. Ask makers for a delivered price to your ZIP code and a transit estimate, and expect delays when passes close in winter. Order the IKEA cabinets online too, for home delivery where it’s offered, so both parts of the kitchen arrive within the same window.

Is IKEA opening in Fort Collins?

IKEA announced a Fort Collins store in February 2026, joining Centennial and Colorado Springs in the state. When we checked in November 2026, it wasn’t yet listed among IKEA’s open locations, so check IKEA’s store page for an opening date. For custom fronts it changes little: makers and contractors work from your IKEA plan wherever you buy the cabinets.
